FESTIVAL OF LIGHT AND COLOUR - CANCELLATION

Our Diwali inspired event, the Festival of Light and Colour, which was due to take place tonight, Wednesday, 14 November, has been cancelled due to forecasted high winds. We are sorry for any disappointment.

Join us for our Festival of Light and Colour on Stockton High Street, inspired by the spirit of Diwali. This free event will feature a performance of music and light on the high street.

The festival of light marks the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil and the event includes themed light, colour, sound and entertainment that captures the many aspects of Indian culture.

The evening will begin with a stage performance following the story of Prince Rama, the Hindu God, and his wife Sita, lasting around 30 minutes.

This will be followed by some contemporary performances on the high street, including a lively Bhangra Disco and traditional dance. There will also be an opportunity to purchase items from stalls and traders at the event, including some traditional Indian cuisine.

Be sure to wrap up warm and experience a lively evening influenced by Indian culture, suitable for all ages.

Please note - show time 6.30pm-7pm, followed by contemporary performances. All event details and timings are approximate and subject change.
